UQ Summer Research Scholarship Program *

Please refer to Office of Undergraduate Education (OUE) website for details, however, DO NOT complete the application form on the OUE website if you wish to apply with QAAFI. You can download QAAFI’s SRS application from this webpage below.

This program provides students with the opportunity to work with a QAAFI researcher in a formal research environment and discover what research is being undertaken in their field of interest at UQ.

Key Features

  • A weekly stipend of $300 plus $1000 travel allowance for eligible awardees

  • Supervision by well-established researchers

  • Access to state-of-the-art research facilities and materials that may not be readily available elsewhere

  • Capacity to obtain credit (or milestone requirements) towards your undergraduate degree (subject to degree rules and structure)

Available Projects: Find a project that interests you by reading the QAAFI SRS Projects. If your project of interest is not listed here, then browse the QAAFI website to contact potential QAAFI supervisor(s) directly to discuss what might be available.

Research Scholarships within QAAFI

To be eligible for a scholarship with QAAFI, the applicant must meet the following requirements:

  1. Have at least one supervisor who is a QAAFI staff member or affiliate.

  2. Be actively enrolled in an undergraduate or masters by coursework program during the Research Scholarship period and can provide evidence of this.

  3. Credit any and all publications arising from the project to QAAFI.

How to Apply

  1. Find a project that interests you by browsing the QAAFI SRS Projects. If your project of interest is not listed here, then visit our website to contact potential QAAFI supervisor(s) directly to discuss what might be available.

  2. Ensure you have read the QAAFI guidelines for applicants and are aware of all eligibility and requirements of the application and program.

  3. Email your completed QAAFI application to QAAFI_RHD@uq.edu.au before the end of August. Again, please DO NOT complete the OUE application form.
