QAAFI adjunct Professor to head Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration

QAAFI adjunct Professor John Skerritt will soon head the Canberra based Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), responsible for regulating therapeutic goods including medicines, medical devices, blood and blood products.
Dr Skerritt has a PhD in Pharmacology and has published widely across both the agri-food and health sciences; he plans to continue his research links with QAAFI.
Formerly deputy secretary of the Victorian Agriculture and Fisheries Services, Dr Skerritt takes up his new position at the TGA at the end of May 2012.
